Koichi Inoue earned a Doctor of Music in Piano, Performance & Music Literature, as well as Master and Bachelor degrees from Indiana University, School of Music where he studied with Gyorgy Sebok for ten years and subsequently with Michel Block. In addition, he participated in master classes in Europe and studied with Pascal Roge, Hans Leygraf, Andrzej Jasinski, Karl Heinz Kammerling, Peter Feuchtwanger, and Tatiana Nikolaeva. At Indiana University he taught as an Associate Instructor for three years and won the university’s concerto competition twice. Shortly before his university studies he performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra after winning a competition and toured in Germany with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra. Since coming to Canada he has held term-contract faculty positions at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Wilfrid Laurier University. He has performed with The Rose Orchestra and Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra, and has appeared in various concert series in Southern Ontario. He currently lives and teaches in Brampton. He is a founder of the Brampton Chamber Music Concert Series and performs in its programs regularly.
